Spring 2015 Menu
As Spring arrives and the days get longer and warmer, its time to enjoy the fresher and lighter flavours that tempt the tastebuds and fit the Spring mood.
Happily every season in Hokkaido offers fresh produce that suits the season, and we take full advantage when preparing the Spring menus at Dai-ichi Takimotokan.
One of the joys of the Hokkaido countryside in spring is fresh sansai, or wild greens, like the young flower buds of the fukinoto and first shoots of nanohana, or rapeseed blossoms, that are a fresh dazzling green. Combine them with the bounty of seasonal Hokkaido seafood, sweet young fish, delicious prawns, squid, as well as abalone and crab, and you have the makings of a feast.
You can enjoy Spring kaiseki dinners in the sophisticated surrounding of our Yunosato restaurant, or choose from the select kaiseki menus for in-room dining. Naturally, our Yukiguni Buffet also features a range of dishes that highlight selected seasonal produce.
The Spring Menu will be served from March 1st to May 31st.
