April Lunch: Beef and Pork Escalope

Recent warm weather melted all the snow, but it is still cold. Flowers are beginning to bloom, and April will bring more and more fresh green shoots each day. Spring in Hokkaido always take a little time, but it is always worth the wait.

In celebration of the coming season, we offer our April Lunch specials.

Beef and Pork Escalope with Cauliflower Etuver

Nemuro, a famous fishing city on Hokkaido’s easternmost point, is famous for escalope. A hearty dish traditionally made from thinly sliced pork that is then fried and served over rice with a demi-glace sauce, we have made our own version which is just as delicious. Our chef used thin slices of roast beef and homemade salted pork offered with a light sauce made from the meat as it cooked. Served with salad, soup and rice or bread it is 1,000 yen including tax.

Trout Meuniere with Shrimp and Yuzu Risotto

The refreshing taste of the risotto blended with sakura (cherry blossom) shrimp and the zesty flavor of yuzu is simply unforgettable. Yet, on top of that, our chef has placed a cut of ocean trout served in a simple meuniere style with parsley and fresh pea pods for a perfect seasonal treat. Offered with bread, salad and soup for 1,000 yen including tax.

Please come and join us in April for the fresh spring breezes and to enjoy the hot springs. We look forward to seeing you here!
