September Lunch: Wagyu Beef Poiret

Now that September has arrived, the temperatures here in Noboribetsu are steadily falling. We also suspect that because the summer heat visited for a shorter time than usual this year that the autumn leaves may turn color sooner than expected. Normally, the leaves turn sometime around the middle of October, but it may begin closer to the end of this month.

However, that makes it the perfect time to introduce the scrumptious September Lunch at the Takimoto Inn restaurant, Poplar, across the street from Dai-ichi Takimotokan!

Wagyu Beef Poiret

The Japanese beef in this dish is so tender that no knife is needed, and it’s rich flavor is enhanced by the recipe that calls for gently steaming it with a sauce. Garnished with roasted onions and sweet Hokkaido squash, the deep flavors of this dish are enhanced by a sweet-and-sour brown sauce that is a perfect companion to rice.

Homemade Napoli Salami Pizza

Every day our chef makes fresh pizza dough by hand and bakes it in the traditional way. The result is a pizza crust that is flavorful without being heavy. Topped with a generous helping of salami, the taste is highly satisfying. I must say, this pizza is irresistible!
