November Lunch: Grilled Duck
With the arrival of a new month comes one of our favorite things: the monthly lunch special!
Grilled duck is first on our list, and this tender breast meat is mouth-watering delicious. This is the season for duck in Japan, where its rich, fatty meat helps build resistance to cold weather. Browned to perfection and paired with nameko mushrooms and satoimo (taro) and thick, Japanese-style consommé and steaming rice is sure to please.
We hope you enjoy our house version of this classic comfort food beautifully prepared by our chef. Chicken in ketchup rice accompanied by a fresh golden omelet with a generous helping of demi glaze sauce will warm you up after a brisk walk around town or down to the Jigokudani.
